How Thresh collects, uses, and protects your information.

Thresh is made by Purple Sheep LLC. This policy covers the Thresh iOS and Android app and its backend (api.thresh.purple-sheep.com). It does not cover other Purple Sheep apps.
Account information: email address, password (stored hashed on our servers), display name, optional profile photo, optional ZIP code, and account type (Athlete, Coach/Professional, or Run Club).
Health and fitness data: with your permission, Thresh reads step count, sleep analysis, resting heart rate, and active energy from Apple Health or Health Connect, so you can see how these relate to your training. Thresh never writes to or modifies your Health data. If you turn on "share health data with coach," your daily metrics are also sent to our servers so a coach you've connected with can view them.
Connected training-device accounts: if you connect a training-device account such as COROS, that provider sends us the activities you complete (sport, start time, duration, distance, heart rate, training load, and the activity file where the provider includes one) and, where you allow it, daily metrics such as sleep, resting heart rate, and steps. We receive this only after you authorise the connection, and only for the account you connected. We never receive or store your password for that provider — the connection uses a token you can revoke at any time. Disconnecting stops the flow of new data immediately, and we delete what we synced from that provider within 24 hours.
Training and activity data: training plans, goals, workouts, sport/race preferences, and appointments you create or purchase in the app.
Calendar data: if you opt in, Thresh adds your workouts and appointments to your device's calendar. This stays on your device unless you separately sync that calendar elsewhere.
Messages: messages you exchange with coaches, run clubs, or our support team through in-app chat.
Approximate location (ZIP code only): if you provide a ZIP code, we look up its approximate latitude/longitude from a static reference table to power "distance to coach" search. Thresh does not access your device's GPS and does not track your real-time or precise location.
Purchases: when you buy a training plan, Apple or Google processes the payment and shares a transaction ID with us to record the purchase. Thresh never receives or stores your payment card details.
Push notification token: a device token used to deliver notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Support communications: anything you send us directly, e.g. by email.
To operate core app features (training plans, scheduling, coach/athlete matching and messaging, marketplace purchases), to show you your own health metrics alongside your training, to send notifications you've enabled, and to respond to support requests. We do not use your information for advertising.
Thresh has no advertising SDK, no analytics/tracking SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with data brokers. We don't use your data to train general-purpose AI models, and we don't use it for advertising of any kind.
Your account data and training record are kept while your account is open, and deleted when you delete your account. Data synced from a connected training-device account is deleted within 24 hours of you disconnecting that account. Messages are kept for as long as the conversation exists. Where we're required to retain something by law, or briefly need it to resolve a dispute or investigate abuse, we keep only that and only for as long as it takes.
Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and transmitted using HTTPS/TLS encryption. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Thresh is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Our servers are located in the United States. If you use Thresh from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
We'll update the "Last updated" date above if this policy changes, and post the new version at this same URL.
